Job Summary:

The Dialysis Technician will be responsible for operating dialysis machines, assisting patients during dialysis procedures, and ensuring that all dialysis treatments are conducted safely and in accordance with established medical protocols. The technician will work closely with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and operate dialysis machines before each treatment session.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
  • Assist in initiating and terminating dialysis procedures.
  • Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of dialysis equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of dialysis treatments and patient observations.
  • Respond promptly to machine alarms and patient complications during dialysis.
  • Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of medical waste and consumables.
  • Assist doctors and nurses in patient care related to dialysis treatment.
  • Provide basic guidance and reassurance to patients undergoing dialysis.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma or certification in Dialysis Technology / Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a dialysis unit or hospital setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of dialysis machines, treatment procedures, and patient monitoring.
  • Understanding of infection control and biomedical safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a healthcare environment with critically ill patients.
  • Strong attention to detail and patient-care orientation.
